Celebration Dinner and Golf Classic Supports Local Classroom Mentoring Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. – September 19, 2008 – The Role Model was the beneficiary of the Fifth Annual “Fairways to Success,” Golf Classic on September 14th and 15th, 2008. This first-class dinner, auction and golf tournament was sponsored by Presenting Sponsor Pinn Bros. Fine Homes & Hotels as well as additional top sponsors: AT&T, Fry’s Electronics, Wells Fargo, B. Davis Inc, Green Republic, Bucci Sunglasses and Plantronics.
Over 200 guest attended the Sunday September 14th Celebration Dinner at the beautiful Saratoga home of Greg and Jodi Pinn. Roberta Gonzales was an entertaining emcee and Randy Hahn the auctioneer.

34 Foursomes then set out for a beautiful day of golf on the Ocean and Old Courses of the Half Moon Bay Golf Resort on Monday September 15th.

Over $187,000 was raised to support the efforts of The Role Model Program to provide underserved Santa Clara County elementary and middle school students with its classroom-based mentoring program.

At The Role Model Program, we work with community volunteers to provide positive role models for youth in need of hope, inspiration and guidance throughout Santa Clara County, CA.
In just one hour a week for eight weeks, The Role Model Program, through its signature ‘Community Classroom Visit Program’, provides the adult role models and life skills to transform the goals, dreams and aspirations of underserved youth.
